Throughout my twenty plus years as an Esthetician and Makeup Artist, I have worked in many different areas of the beauty industry. My passion for beauty began when I was a child watching my mom as a hairstylist and cosmetologist. I was fascinated by the transformation of beauty and could not wait to start my journey as a beauty professional. I am so grateful for a career that still brings me joy every single day.

After receiving my Esthetics and Makeup artistry diploma in 2001, I was excited to finally be living out my passion for beauty and moved to Vancouver. There, I became interested in the holistic world of beauty and went on to take many courses in Ayurveda face and body treatments. Using this knowledge, I was able to touch on all the senses and was not only making my clients’ skin glow but left them with a feeling of calm from head to toe. I have continued to use these techniques in my treatments and always give a calming touch to my guests.

Moving to London, England was the next step in my journey and gaining experience working in high-end spas and beauty counters in prestigious department stores. I also received certification in Film and TV makeup from the London College of Fashion. I had the opportunity to experiment with many distinctive styles and practice my skills on a variety of faces. London will always hold a special place in my heart, it is where I met the love of my life.

When I returned home my focus was on wedding makeup and I also became intrigued in the medical side of beauty. I received my certification in medical aesthetics and laser therapy in 2012. I love being able to improve skin conditions and give my clients their confidence back. Brand educator was my next venture where I taught other professionals makeup techniques and advanced facial and body treatments for clean, socially conscious brands.

After gaining all this experience and knowledge, my decision to open my own spa was clear. Chrystalina Beauty was established in 2014. My focus is on client experience, relaxation and providing a space to heal and feel rejuvenated.

To me beauty is not a luxury, it is an essential part of self-care and when you take time for yourself, you feel good inside and out.
